This male patient aged 73yrs had underwent Total Hip Replacement and sustained a Periprosthetic fracture Rt Femur and was treated in our hospital.

The problems to be tackled were,

• 1. To give a stable fixation with the stem inside.
• 2. To manage the fixation in a osteoporotic bone.

The patient was treated with a long Trochanteric plate and he is able to walk now with support and in future should be able to walk without support. The pre-operative & Post-operative x-rays are shown. Note the lag scews.
